The one I have has the normal looking snare on one side and then it has tension adjustable brass screws on the other end for use with the Ludwig Screwdriver drum key. I thought this was odd considering everything else about my kit points to a normal Super Classic. They usually came with a Supraphonic. This one had a S.S.

Thanks man. I was wondering about the entire snare mechanism as well. I found a 1966 but was only able to snap 2 pics at GC.

Looks correct to me. Here's a picture of my '65 SS 6.5. Taking into account that I have the 6.5” version, all of the hardware and linkage seems accurate with the exception of the throw guard. On mine it's attached by two tension rods where on yours it's riveted directly to the bottom hoop. I believe the riveting is correct because Ludwig changed that design within the timeframe ‘65/’66 timeframe we are talking about. The ‘68 through current day super sensitives have a differ look/design with larger adjustment rods and a different guard, etc. But yours does look correct for being a ‘66.

Thanks all. Can you post a pic of the bottom of yours? GC is asking 299 for this. I would give it a 7 on a 1-10 scale but I can clean it up. I was able to get both pics up too. What do you think?
