Basically it's peroxide and oxyclean

Do some research, it was originally developed by chemists to restore their vintage computers. It actually uses UV light to reverse the yellowing.

However it did remove the shine from the wrap.

Also trying to keep the shell surface wet in the sun without soaking the wood is tricky.
