1964 Rogers Luxor snare - 3 ply Keller transition shell

Folks, I have a sweetheart drum for sale. Available is a nice low serial number Rogers Luxor red sparkle glitter in VG+ condition. The serial number is 5630 dating it somewhere close to the 1964 time frame if I'm not mistaken. I defer to the experts on that. The drum is definitely a 3 ply Keller transition shell. Sometime after this they went to the 5 ply shell that everyone is familiar with. I'm not sure how long they built the 3 ply Keller shell. I only know that it came after the 3 ply Jasper shell and before the 5 ply Keller shell. To me it looks like a 3 ply shell with 4 ply rings.

Here are the details: Drum is in VG++ condition with a little darkening of the wrap. There are some nicks and scratches here and there. There is a little bit of polish residue left behind in some of these scratches. Its barely noticeable from 2 feet away and probably could be cleaned out with a good detail. The shell really did clean up nice.

The hardware is all in good shape with some pitting and light scratches here and there. The Sta-Tite strainer is in good condition but the knob is bent. It works but probably needs to get a replacement knob at some point. I had one lined up but the deal fell through. The tension rods and washers are original. The snare wires are Rogers but a later version than this drum. The snare wires are 16 strand and are similar to the original wires, just slightly newer. It has its original drum heads.

I'm looking to move this drum for $165 plus shipping. Thanks!
