Hello Vintage Drum Forum!

I inherited these drums recently and due to plans to leave the states I am looking to sell them. looks like one lugwig is 1980s? Blue/Olive and one is pre serial 1960s? .Rogers Tower and Holiday. Sorry for the poor photos, I promise I won't abuse them. Any help on pricing would be great... thanks.

O.K.,the good news is your rogers are the most desired era they are both cleveland sticker so they are 1963 to 1966.The floor tom is a top of the line holiday, the mounted tom is a less expensive model,a "tower" same shell and mounting hardware as the holiday, they just used double ended lugs to keep costs down.It looks like the mounted tom has a "tall hoop" on it,which were used with the earlier pre 1963 bread and butter lugs, but some tall hoops made it onto the beavertail era drums. You are missing some parts so that will affect re sale some what, but the wrap looks like it is in good condition so that helps.the wrap looks like champagne sparkle to me.The b/o badged snare would be easier to date if we could see the throwoff, but in that condition it is probably worth around 150.00 bucks IMO. The other supra is interesting,it looks like the throw is a p-85,and I don't think original, could be an 80's throw. The top hoop is a die cast,Ludwig did offer them, but I don't know if that early,as that drum is pre 1963.No rash or flaking on the chrome,so it could be a brass supra, check the snare beds and if they are crimped,or different looking than you other supra, you could have a 700.00 drum on your hands,as long as the shell has no extra holes for the throw and butt.Hopefully the more knowlegable people will be along to clarify .

Thank you so much, I will get the resident drummer here to take a closer look and post more pics here soon. What do you think the Rogers are worth?

I have an older 1967 rogers kit and know a little about rogers, but am not up on pricing partial drums, that being said it boils down to condition ,originality, and desirability. Those look pretty dirty, and the rim on the 16 looks pretty trashed, and the lugs look a lot dirtier than the wrap,so if the wrap has been cleaned up and the lugs not,I wonder if the wrap is original,it looks like it could be original with normal fade, the rogers wrap had more yellow and gold in it,but maybe that is what fades naturally on that wrap, leaving more pink, but I am not sure. The absence of hardware is a factor that potential buyers will figure into the selling price. The good news is that rogers t rods and hoops are less expensive than mounting arms and recievers, but original legs and reproduction parts for the ft could be pricey.Close up pics of the grommet in side and out and wrap seams would help to determine if it is the original wrap.Once that info is brought to light someone on here could give you a fairly accurate dollar worth. You could also check ebay completed auctions for similar items.
