1960 Trans-Badge Downbeat value?

Loading...

I’m thinking about possibly selling my 1960 Trans-Badge Ludwig Downbeat kit. 20, 12, 14 Oyster Blue pearl w/Nickle hardware. Floor tom hoops and rods are chrome and not original. Heads are not original, and it’s missing the bass drum cymbal arm and a couple of T-Rods. Bass drum hoops have been repainted, but inlay is original. Wrap is all original and seams are good with no cracking and nice Mahogany peeking through. All 3 shells dated July 22 1960. I’ve seen these all over the board price-wise and am wondering what would be a basic, ballpark price to ask (IF I decide to sell).

I don't blame you for wanting to keep it!!

if you do keep it I could work out a deal with

you on the Trans badge oyster snare I have.

Just an idea.

I just listed them on Detroit Craigslist. Anyone in the area is welcome to come look them over in person.

I sold my trans badge kit in 24,13,16 red sparkle also dated 1960 for 1000 about a year ago, so yours being downbeat and a better finish I think 1500 is more than reasonable.

Pretty sweet kit!

If someone buys them for my price, that's fine. If they don't sell, I have no problem keeping them :)
