Interesting that the inside ply looks like mahogany,I don't know if sling did a single ply mahogany that late,would make it extremely rare.
I believe it's a Special Student Drum number 158 with the optional triple flanged (sticksaver) hoops.
3-ply shell in all likelihood.

I'm inclined to agree with kevins. In addition to what he indicated - that strainer is a dead giveaway that this would not be a single-ply drum.

I agree with kevins also, but rocketman don't forget the Hollwood ace has the rapid strainer and solid shell models, so it's not the strainer that's the giveaway, but the fact that it has six lugs is the giveaway.
I wasn't aware that the Hollywood Ace was offered as a single-ply drum. If so, I don't believe it was ever catalogued as such. And yes - the 6 lug configuration is yet another tell-tale sign that this was a Student model, 3-ply drum.
