1960 Ludwig Bass drum - ODD Tom Mount

Loading...

Hey Guys,

I have another question regarding a bass drum that looks like nothing I have seen before.

Attached is a pic of a bass drum stamped June 1960. This bass drum came with three toms, which I posted questions about some time ago. The brackets and mounting bar are linke nothing I can find in any catalog - Ludwig, or Leedy.

Can anyone identify if this is an aftermarket bracket, or did Ludwig do something for short period of time that doesn't seem to be documented on these Vintage sites.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, NO.

The rail mount, two partial tom mounts. (the other part must be on the toms) are there. The legs abd cymbal mount are there.

It has all of the lugs, but someone removed one side of the bass drum at one point, so the rim, dumrhead, and all of the T-Mount tension rods are missing from one side. The other side of the drum has the head the rim and the tension rods.
