Man... How many of our garages/basements/sheds look like this at any given time?

Here they are finished at last! This project lasted a little over two years! The one thing I still need to have put on are the reproduction paper tags. I should have them by next week.

I want you to know that, your kit was the inspiration for me to do mine. Great save and as always, great job. I love the tangerine!

Thanks John. Tangerine Sparkle is my favorite Gretsch color however I alWAYs try to restore back to what ever the drum's original color was. I think that comes from my Dad's influence on me with his antique car collection. He alWAYs tells me that it might not be original paint but it's the original color which is the next best thing! In this case the original color was Tangerine Sparkle so I really lucked out!

You may or may not remember the George Way Spartan Model snare drum I restored. I was going to do a blk/red duco on it as I loved that color even though George only did that finish on 6 lug drums. When I removed the badge there was remaining lacquer behind the it so I had it re-lacquered in blk. Not my first choice but it's keeping with it's original color and when it was finished I couldn't have been more pleased! To this day it's still one of my favorite snare drums!

Beautiful! What's the story behind the Gretsch logo color and the BD art? Will this kit be part of the vintage drum museum at DRUM! Night in San Jose on August 10th?

Never play it the same way once.
