1953 Leedy & Ludwig Nite Club Outfit in Sparkling Blue Pearl

Loading...

Hi all

So I added another unbelievable gem added to my collection. This one thanks to fellow VDF member Moonlight Drummer. Some of you may remember this kit from couple years back. Well I said if these ever sell, please let me know.. And he did! And they could not have gone to a better home. This kit is a true time capsule. Original Calfskin heads all around. No issues at all with the set. All date stamped 5308 & 5311. And it's got that "aqua blue" thing going on. It's almost TOO nice! So many many thanks to my fellow vintage drum friend & SoCal drummer Aaron for making my 7 year sobriety celebration even more special. Shooting for the Oyster Pink Pearl at 10 years. Cheers! Yes Sir

7 years of sobriety and a gem of a reward. Too, too nice. Enjoy those babies and a tip of the hat to Moonlight Drummer for setting you up fine and dandy.

Is that floor tom an 18 incher?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

OK. If the floor tom was 18 across by 16 deep, it could be a set of Leedy and Ludwig that I once owned. I loved the drums, but the collector/drum trader bug possessed me to trade them for some other drum set. As I recall now, the snare drum for my set was a piccolo size in matching blue/turquoise sparkle pearl.

Congrats on both accounts Mark. That's great! Those are indeed some super nice drums! Aaron is a great dude and glad that you two were able to get together on them. Enjoy!
