I've got a trans stamp flange like that, paired with a first stamp A. Sounds killer. Someone better snag them.
hello,
To be very honest with you...they look great however not trans / not 50s../
not 60s..but look like early 70s (quick beats ...are my best guess) because of the weight.

The flange hats were only made during the 40's-50's. They reissued them during the 70's but they were ink stamped and they lathing was way different in the 70's. Look at the bell pics to see the hand lathing. Also, the 3 dots are missing in the arabic logo, which is characteristic of the 40's and 50's. I dated them as 50's on my listing, but not sure.

I believe the easiest way to tell the difference between flange bop hats made in the 1950's and the 1970s re-issues is the width of the flange. The 1970s flange was 1.25" to 1.5" wide and close to double the size of the 1950's flange at 3/4".
could you post a pic of the bottom sides in your ebay listing?

Both cymbals have irregular hammering. I would put them to 50's period
The listing has new photos and should end the debate.

Wow, That's a really nice set of hi hat cymbals. They look collector quality and bet they would be perfect in an acoustic or an unplugged setting.

Thanks. No I didn't pay him to say that, but I do appreciate the kind words! :p
