1941 Leedy Broadway Standard Last viewed: 8 hours ago

Loading...

I picked this beauty up last night. Date stamp of 4108, 8 x 14 in yellowed WMP. Three point strainer, extended butt plate, double flanged COB stick choppers.

I took the picture at about 5 this morning so the lighting isn't great, but you get the idea. Obviously the drum is disassembled :)

Any idea on current market value?

Thanks in advance.

Since I've taken the picture, I've cleaned the drum up a bit. The finish is in really nice shape. Unfortunately, several of the lug casings are cracked and the chrome is really in bad shape on them. I have purchased two sets of three lugs from different individuals and another kind soul is sending me 9 (thanks oldschool)! The bottom rim is engraved with "Broadway Standard" and has the gates on it.

I checked the completed eBay listings but didn't see any 8 x 14 drums in WMP that have sold recently.

Would you say that I could realistically sell the drum for $700 and up?

Thanks for your input.

I had the same drum,in solid maple, sans finish, and mine had 2 extra 1-4" holes added, and it took me FOREVER to get $500 for it...........so,I don't see $700 for a ply version....WMP and all.........

Lots of people don't like 8" by 14" snares for some reason....

Great "Ballad" snare though.
