I have a 1940 gene Krupa super snare radio king and looking for the snare wires to replace the old ones but can not find the length is 16 inches long and from center slot it is 15-3/4
1940 slingerland extended snare wire
If this is what you are looking for, sad to say I think it highly unlikely finding a replacement with slots spaced 15 3/4" apart.

Amazon.com had Puresound Clamshell wires a week or so ago for...$13.50!
Unfortunately, wrong set... and wrong price.
Those are for a later model.

They were $13.50 last week....must have been a different seller...
More to the point, whatever the price, it doesn't solve Drummer Steve's problem.

Ron do you think the Puresound PRE-1416 would fit?

They seem short compared to what the OP needs. Do you know if these were designated for the clamshell strainers with the hooks? They are slotted. The PRS-1416 have the straps for the 3 pt strainers with bridges. Maybe the originals have stretched out a bit thus giving the longer measurement? I use the PR-1416 for the screw in version of the clamshell on mine. Which won't work for him.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Never mind "stretched out". They're too short. They work on the 3-point w/bridges but not on the early slotted Clam.

Here's a solution. I'll sell him my drum for $1200. He can use the wires.
