1920s Premier Deluxe model Snare

Loading...

Hi all,

I picked up this Premier Deluxe Model snare which I believe is 1920s / early 1930s 14" x 4"

I posted on a few forums for some help with restoration and possible valuation. A lot of people are wanting to buy it before any restoration so I wanted any advice on valuation if possible. I cannot find this model anywhere else... only the steel equivalents.

If any one has any advice / opinions I'd love to hear them.

Thank you.

Gav

That is a beautiful drum. Party

Be very careful with the resto.

Some bad moves are irreversible. DOH

It`s early 30`s. That badge was not used again. Those lugs were not used after the mid 30`s.

The two or three 20`s snare options were metal and had engraved trademarks. (no badges)

You have the first Premier badge on a drum.

There were plenty made so as far as value, you may have to set that. It has more museum value than treasure values, unless you are a Premier collector bidding for it. It`s not easy to come by and if I were you, I`d keep it. England`s and Premier`s market circle was bombed flat in the 40`s, Finding another one like that, probably wont happen.

How many people can say they have that badge on a factory Premier of the early 30`s ? You so far that I know of.

Here`s the early 30`s cat pic.
