It's 26". That's a very interesting ...I actually love hanging onto family heirlooms but my sister is one of those clean house people! I love the family connection and know that since I never met my grandfather, I personally would love to hang onto it. Thanks for your knowledge

Yes I think you should try to hold on to that. Did you measure 26" from the very outside of the hoop [pictured]?
