once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Goodness Blair! Pizza Hut for a vegetarian with all the Indian dishes you could have had. :rolleyes:Anyway, you must have seen a few Premier kits there. Shipping from London not too, too bad. I had a snare drum shipped in last yar for about $80. It was a lot cheaper than a round trip ticket and lunch at Pizza Hut.
Dan,
I had my first Indian food there...
I had heard that ethnic restaurants had lots of veg dishes, and there are a lot of Indian restaurants in England...so as I was out walking one night, saw a Indian restaurant, went in,had Vegetable Birani <(sp?)..and was in Heaven!
Didn't see too many Prem kits there....wasn't into them then,to start with...
I was out looking for Turkish K's,Paiste 602's and trying to DRUM up some business for my vintage drum business....which I did...!
Went to the late Lou Dias's shop, Supreme Drums ,in Walthamstow, and he had quite a few NOS New Stamp Turkish K's there! $140 each American.....any size....bought his last four 18's.....then,when I came home...bought a few pairs of 15" hats from him....
He said I should have been there a month or two earlier...had some 20's and 22's!
He also said that they all came out of a bonded warehouse in Switzerland!
OK...back to regular programming....
"You went to England and had Pizza Hut? lol.
Reminds me of my inlaws, they could be in San Fransisco and eat at Dennys."
When I was in the Navy my ship went to Hong Kong and Singapore, among other places. The only place I ate was McDonalds.
When we lived in SF Bay Area, we took the in-laws to Chinatown. I had to find someplace that served meat loaf and mashed potatoes for my father-in-law.
