'77 Slingerland 51N Super Rock

Spent the past few months on sourcing & replacing some pitted chrome..

Eg; BD lugs & all Set-O-Matic fittings.. the other chrome is still looking fine.

Hit the "old girl" with some Novus last week & brought back some sparkle.

I posted this kit a couple of years ago but it now has the correct 6.5 cob, & the added Concert toms are a recent purchase from Kev.

Cheers

Nice!!!! I love the Sliver/blue. The big sizes are a bonus, too. I'd love to try the COB 6.5 10 lugger too. Great stuff!!!

Nice LJ. Great sizes and that's such a cool wrap. The 6.5 snare is REAL nice~! Concert toms look great too and they all must sound wonderful too. Nice job and please post a few more pics of them~!~! Driver seat view would be cool too. :) I like seeing how everyone sets them up. Get some good ideas and tips. Thanks.

longjohn - Love the kit! And you don't have to describe how great that snare drum sounds... I bought an NOS 3-line Slingerland bronze shell a few years ago on fleabay and I assembled the drum in the photo. It has a mighty crack and tone for days out on the rims. On the dry/woody side tone-wise. I love mine.

Enjoy your kit, mate!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks Guys,

Appreciate your comments..

Mark.. the only others that I have seen in this colour blend have all been marchers, but I recall seeing another kit with same colours reversed. When I take the hacksaw to my HH post I'll give the toms a try on the left, meantime they are part of my LP ensemble.

John.. I reckon that would sound like a bomb going off, Loving Spoonful it Aint.

FFR.. I'm not much with the camera but heres a couple.. it's a bit squeezy back there..

Stevo.. the "real" from behind the kit shot is for you.. 4 to the bar..

Cheers

John

Good stuff thanks. I likey. Yes try the concert toms on the left, you might like them there. I used to have 3 roto toms to my left and over the hi hat sort of. I forget the exact placement but worked pretty well there. Thanks for the pics! BTW nice bar too!!
