That's a beautiful drum set. The Merlot finish is very vibrant.

Thank you. Yes, the finish continues to grow on me. I'm liking it more and more each day. Beautiful, rich looking wrap.

Purdie Shuffle,

Been traveling and am just getting caught up on your project. All I can say is, "WOW!". These are absolutely stunning. Once again it makes the argument for rescuing quality drums with a quality and period-correct rewrap. The end result is something very special. Let me be the 10 billionth person to congratulate you on an excellent job. Enjoy playing them!

I love Burgundy Sparkle! To many of these original wraps have turned to Root Beer!

Funny you should mention the color root beer... the new verison (called, Merlot) is slightly different than the vintage original color. I think the difference is, the new version has just a tinge of reddish brown to it and when I saw it, I thought to myself, it looks a little root beer-ish. As you can see from the photos it's a vibrant color, just slightly browner than the original. I'm really liking it.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. Great kit, deserved saving. I plan to play the hell out of them!
