Hey everyone,
I bought this kit from a buddy with a check I wrote for $100 back in the mid 90s. I have had it ever since and I'm just now getting around to restoring it. I figured it was old, but after checking out some badges and finishes from resources on this forum, I think it might be even older than I thought! The "pearl oval badge" suggests 60s, and the closest finish I could find is the "blue oyster" from the '73 collection. The only other distinct marking on the kit (pictured) is "JAPAN" on the bass drum cymbal stand lug. The "badges" and "finishes" pages on this forum are truly the only resources I could find with any info. Anyone have any ideas or information about this kit and when it was actually made? Thanks a ton for any help or info you guys can contribute! Killer forum here... |

Consolette rail tube is upside down. Does it work better that way?

I honestly had no idea! Thanks for pointing that out though. Are you talking about just the curve in the tube itself curving down vs parallel with the curve of the bass drum?
