Default Re: Rogers Nickel Dynasonic
Thinking further about this drum I don't feel it would of been sold by Rogers in its current found state. They had high standards for quality control in this era of the company history.

It is possible since it has chrome under the rim and inside that it came in this way to Rogers and they sold it at a discount or as a "second" in standards. Or a factory employee took it home because Rogers wouldn't of sold an un-finished chrome drum like this one. If it was all nickel all over inside and out I'd think different about it. Just my opinion...

I've had good results also using the Dawn bath, but I have a feeling that as soon as the lug is removed off this "Nickel" shell, the shell is going to show nice, shiney chrome under that lug, just as it is near the bearing edge under the head hoop.
