Cool orange Pearl fiberglass kit (12,13,16,22”) that the guitarist has at his place. Has a nice CB-700 snare too. He paid for some new heads that I’ve installed. It needs a bass drum reso head and proper muffling if needed yet.

Did he drive nails into the concrete floor to hold the blocks of wood in place?

Why? What if he did? What if it were drilled and screwed and not nailed? What if....

Lol , it’ll have to be moved once the reso head and hoop get installed. My elbows are already hitting the wall behind me where it’s positioned.

Gold Satin is the wrap color if I'm not mistaken. Based on the hardware '73-'77ish. I have a set in blue satin. Cool drums. Loud and heavy. How does that snare sound? Never seen one.

That CB700 snare (I thought may have been aluminum but a magnet sticks) is the first I’ve seen also. I took it apart completely, cleaned up and put new heads, tension rod washers and wires. I chose an Evans Genera HD for the batter head. (cause it was on sale) It turned out to sound really great! Last edited by Olimpass; 01-10-2021 at 08:15 PM. |

It’s a model F5 fiberglass kit. Not the wood-fiberglass.
