I found another Ludwig kit in a wmp finish. It has a Club Date 12, 20, a 16 floor and a 14 Pioneer snare. The guy said he take $1,000 plus a Ludwig Classic Maple snare.

She’s a real beauty and aged nicely. Great price!

Nice looking but the WMP wrap looks yellower than most kits I've seen from that period. What is the general condition? As to the price, how much is the Ludwig Classic Maple snare you would be giving up worth? I'm not a club date or pioneer fan myself but if the price is right and you can either remove the yellowing or live with it, it looks like a nice find.

I happen to like Pioneer snares, especially one in this finish. |

I think that you are correct, sir. Johnny Ringo didn't ask my opinion on this matter. But, in my opinion, with his Rogers set and this WMP set, he could be armed for any playing situations that came his way.

That's nice, the color on the 16 looks very close in yellowing (might be more noticeable close up), looks like the pioneer and 16 match well, and appears more pearl in the wrap on the 12 and bass,or maybe it's just the picture , I guess the different lugs won't bother you?

This is another part of the vintage drum dump I got where the previous owner slathered all the drums in black house paint and lost half of the hardware. It was kind of a collection of Gretsch and Ludwig cobbled together but I'm restoring them back into 2 separate kits. I just have the snare and high tom to finish on the Gretsch before I move on to the Club Date.
