In early Beach Boys footage Dennis had a set of hats and one what looked like a 20" ride or crash/ride.... then on the back of pet sounds there were 2 identical lookin cymbals, were they both crash/rides and did he specifically use zildjian avedis Im assuming? He didnt crash that much so Im wondering if it/they were both rides or a no-type cymbal that was rideable and crashable if ya know what Im saying.
the 1 or 2 cymbals Dennis Wilson used...
Saw Dennis with the BB's in the 60's. I am sure you know he was NOT the drummer on the studio recordings. Hal Blaine was the drummer on all the Beach Boys recordings.

This isn't true, is it? Even on some of the early early BB LPs it was Hal Blaine? I thought Dennis was at least on a few recordings..
Thanks to all of these threads, Dennis Wilson has become a repeating nightmare that I can't wake up from. I always had good feelings about Dennis as the drummer for the BB's. Now, I cringe every time I see his name mentioned. Thanks for spoiling Dennis Wilson for me. If I don't hear his name one more time before I die, it'll be too soon!
Overkill plain and simple.

Just giving credit where credit is due. Hal Blaine cut ALL the Beach Boys major hits.
Blaine also established a fruitful relationship with Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson, for whom he served as the first-call session drummer. Blaine appeared on innumerable Beach Boys hits, ranging from "Surfer Girl" to "Good Vibrations."
I point this out as Hal Blaine was never credited on the albums as the drummer on the recordings in those days.
Hal Blaine performed on 35,000 recorded tracks over in a quarter century's worth of work.
