I have a WFL 1363 snare stand. The adjustable part of the drum basket will not slide more than a few inches. The wing nut retainer to lock the sliding portion is screwed completely out, so that isn't holding it. The basket slider chrome is smooth does not appear to be bent or scratched..... I don't want to force it. Anyone run into this before and have idea for a fix? Thanks

I have run into quite a few of these. Take a side view and usually you will see the center adjustable bar is tweaked or bent just a bit. You can usually bend it back in place using your hands and the center part that it goes through for stabilization. Also put some lubricating oil in there and work the adjustable part back and forth. WD40 works. I also like to use 3in1 oil too. Should fix you right up.

I agree with what Mike said. You may need to coax it VERY lightly with a rubber mallet and some lubrication.
