Re: New Citrus Mod Already in Clearance

In my opinion, buying a CM reproduction takes away one of the main reasons why the real deal is so sought after -being the rarity. A reproduction isn't rare. There is no "Raiders of the Lost Ark"...

Re: Where is everyone?

It used to be cavemen beating on logs....log drumming went away in favor of the next advancement....and so on. Now, here we are at this point in time. Why shouldn't things continue to change? I think...

Re: Where is everyone?

Will Zippo lighters ever have a comeback? I don't think so because Bic lighters are so much more convenient...don't have to have lighter fluid, flints...Bics are just too easy. If you lose one, then...

Re: Where is everyone?

I certainly understand why GUNS have increased in interest lately. But yes I agree that it's likely that vintage drums and sets will not ever have a resurgence in the future.

I have most all of...

Re: “House" drum kits (kits supplied by the venue)

You know, I always wondered about that kit and why someone chose the Canopus brand. I would have figured they would have chosen a Gretsch Catalina or some type of Gretsch kit -since that's what most...

Re: What are the differences between Ludwig and Slingerland shells?

Nice! Well, it's really difficult to find a new topic for discussion!

Maybe I should start a discussion about why Premier's chrome is always better than anyone else's....I dunno...j/k ;)

What are the differences between Ludwig and Slingerland shells?

They seem very similar. All I can think of is that Slingerland shells were possibly all maple(?) plies with maple reinforcement hoops...? I don't recall if Slingerland used poplar-core shells or if...

Re: Citrus Mod: now you see it, now you don't

And this makes the point, beautifully, that a snare drum can be made to look and perform like any other snare drum out there....cosmetically....sonically....BUT, the reason why an all-original Citrus...
