Zildjian Hi Hat Cymbal ID

I have a pair of 13” Zildjian Hi Hat cymbals that bear an unusual stamp. There is only one dot in the “Ottoman” section. I reviewed some of Zenstat’s exhaustive research and didn’t see any mention...

Re: Ludwig Concert Tom Bottom Hoop Restoration

Re: Serious Hearing Loss

Brian,
First, let me say that I have a great deal of respect for the medical profession. Like many other disciplines, the medical field only gets more and more complex as technology, lawyers,...

Re: How one tiny screw can ruin your whole day.

If you have a Dremel tool, you can safely grind a slot in the top of the screw to put a good-sized flat screwdriver in the slot and give it a good turn. I have used this method on several stuck...

Re: Friend wants to build me a solid Mahogany snare drum. We need guidance....

Wow. I have never seen a drum (that I was aware of) made by turning from it’s natural state. Your friend is a turner at another level! Like O-lugs said, I hope it doesn’t change its shape much as...

Re: Reverb - in other carts

My brother employs this practice all the time. He’ll research items he is interested in and determine the item that best suits his needs. He may not feel he is in the best financial position to...

Re: Bearing Edge Odyssey Starts Now

Will,
I commend you for your circumspection on this process, but I have found that it really is pretty basic if you have the right equipment, and it sounds like you do.

To level your bearing...

Dan, these are for sale in my area.

I know the guy selling them and have bought/traded a few drum sets with him over the years. I could help facilitate the sale and shipping if you are so...

Re: Pricing Help - 1970 Ludwig OBP

Thanks. I have a lo-ball offer of $1250 on CL. I saw another set like mine in the SF Bay Area for $1850 without the issues mine have, presumably. I will stick near $1500 for a while.

Re: Band Zildjian Cymbals?

V,
I was thinking along the same lines. I wonder if they made some small-ish cymbals for kids or something.

Thanks for the reply.

Band Zildjian Cymbals?

I just bought a drum set that came with a boatload of cymbals. The 13” hi hats are interesting. They are both heavy, and appear quite old. One cymbal is definitely heavier than the other, though....

Re: Unconventional Drum Set

Thanks, everyone. It was fun to do.

The bass drum is, in fact, just a pretensioned head on a rim, with the ability to tune it tighter. It has an integrated plastic ring that holds a circular...

Yes and no. I have a 70’s Ludwig Atlas throne, the kind with swivel feet and each leg is the same. It has a cheap foam pad under vinyl for the business end of the seat. Not in any...
