Re: Please help ID these British snare wires

The top two are Ajax, the next is half a set of Premier 0655 or 0654 (depending on the overall length) and the bottom set are for a Super Ace (v rare).

Re: Premier.....just picked up..Need a Premie expert

If this was bought new in '68, it had been sitting in the shop a long time! I think we're looking at late 50s/early 60s.

Re: Premier.....just picked up..Need a Premie expert

If the hoop has rod holes shaped like the ones on the left of this pic, the drum is pre-international. If they are shaped like those on the right, it's international size.

Re: Can you ID these Euro Drums

They are Swiss, but I can't recall the company name. The tom holder looks very much like a Hoshino mount.

Re: Vintage Premier - Help me identifying it

When launched, the Royale power tom kits were listed as being made from 6mm 3-ply Luan with the centre core at a right angle for strength and off-set joints. I have had standard size Royale kits with...

The lugs are made in England by a specialist machinist who also makes components for a leading UK custom company.

Re: Help identifying multi-key

Miller's Music in Bradford, UK made something similar. I got a box full when the shop closed 10 years ago but many ahve been stolen by sticky fingered drummers at multi band gigs.

It's definately from the Rose-Morris stable, could have been badged as RM, Rose-Morris or Shaftsbury.

Re: Premier Resonator snare drum liner?

The Resonator snare was a '37' with a birch liner, so you could order one with or without a liner.

Re: Anyone help identify this Premier colour?

A number of pastel colours were displayed at NAMM in January 1987, not intended for production but demand in the USA meant they were launched later in the year. It's likely they were discontinued...

Re: Premier Resonator snare drum liner?

There was a 'special' version of the '37' snare drum (the '37' being a 2000 but with a conventional throw off and brushed finish) available c. 1976 which had a birch inner liner. This model was soon...

Re: Yet another "what is this snare drum"

I've got a few of those lugs, I'm pretty sure they came off a drum branded 'TRAK' from the early 80s.

Re: Premier ID ? 1970's ?

If it's wrapped, it's an APK, if lacquered, XPK. This kit is from late 80s/early 90s.

The original Royale APK kits from mid 80s had separate lugs, the 1446-20 "speedboat" lugs. After the merger...

Re: Premier Vintage Beauty

FYI - Premier never made 'metric' drums, they are 'pre-international' which were Premier's approximation to size dating back to the days of calf heads.

Re: Premier help!

This range of drums was called the '6000' series and marketed only in the USA, elsewhere they were badged as Beverley drums. I'm not sure if the 6162 T-rods are correct, they are Premier and it is...
