Replaced 2 on the snare that were bad with some original ones I found.
Unfortunately the...

All 3 drums have matching tags and close numbers.
So I wrapped it in a Rootbeer type...

Re: Any guesses on this Rogers outer ply?

O-Lugs it seems that you were correct in guessing Walnut.
I took Dudley's advice and brought it by a restoration shop.
It was funny the guy was in his mid 60's and said he use to have a Rogers kit...

Any guesses on this Rogers outer ply?

Can anyone tell me what this outer ply would be?
Going to try to match it or at least try to match.

Re: Please help me identify a Ludwig 6.5x14 Black Beauty

Yes , like they said. That book is no joke.
Worth it for sure. I would say your drum is one of the last pointy badges before the rounded corner badges. 79-80'

Re: Supraphonic Corrosion Question

I have several with this issue and don't think it affects the sound fortunately.
I guess you could sand lightly if it is sharp and flaking but I have never done that.

Cool Re: Did Camco drums ever not have vent holes?

Those are definitely Camco shells which look like later LA's due to number on shell. Real nice. Maybe they were just not drilled yet and were let go when they closed up shop or maybe a worker's drum....
