Re: Speed King bearings

Hi Morgatto!

While I've never been a fan of the Ludwig SK pedal, I have had two that were really good. The best was refurbished by a company called "Drummechanix", unfortunately no longer in...

Re: Rhythm Tech Active Snare System

O-Lugs!

The Rhythm Tech wires are just like the Dynasonic snare frame, in that the wires are pre-tensioned and don't require much tension from the strainer to obtain a non-choked snare sound....

Re: Vintage 1966 Blue Oyster Pearl 16" Floor Tom

Hey Dan! Completely agree that the blue still looks fantastic. I'm just wondering why he would break up such a well-matched kit.

Re: Vintage 1966 Blue Oyster Pearl 16" Floor Tom

Re: 1968 Ludwig Black Panther

I use a program called Irfanview. It's been around for quite some time and, for me, is indispensable for working with photos! As an example, when iPhone owners shoot a picture, they normally hold the...

Re: who made these Bollero drums ?

I completely agree with Ralf that these drums are Bollero! When I went back and looked at the pictures, I also noticed the diamond-shape tom bracket and was aware that Star used a rectangular bracket...

Re: who made these Bollero drums ?

Dan! Really interesting info about the reason for 7 lugs on the floor tom! I've got a Sound Percussion set with a 15" floor tom...and 5 lugs per side!

Ralf's website is excellent! I just checked...

Re: Super-Sensitive Snare Wires

Marty!

Thanks for posting that picture! Yep, the wires on the left are pure gold now! I just don't understand why daddario doesn't offer these on a special order basis. The same for the PLS-1416...

Wow, that's one of the cleanest and complete vintage 60's MIJ sets I've seen! Congrats! And, a 7-lug floor tom, too! Very cool! To answer your question, the hardware (lugs, mounts)...

Re: This is the Display Your Rogers Drums Thread

I noticed this as well! Rogers did it this way with early Swivo arms. In this instance, it may just be the way he wants them...or may not be aware that it is backwards, since it functions equally...

Amazing that the majority of your lugs are crack-free! The early 2-hole Swivo arm is cool!
