Re: Drum Brand Preferences

Pearl is a strange word,...I mean when I told people I gave my wife a pearl neckless, they laughed, so now she has a Diamond. If she wears them both, she has Diamond pearl. My metallic white wrap...

Re: Sonor

I would say they hold the most value to the owner. They are nice kits, not vintage yet and today's drummers are looking to make drumming easier. I've had my Phonics for 40 something years and the...

Re: Glue or Reattach Inlay Strips?

If you don't follow the dry times to contact, you will get bubbles. Contact is the way to go, but many example here in pics. show contact doesn't do well wrap to wrap lap.

Gee, that could be a...

Re: Sonor Snare ID heip

One day Henk will get in that SONOR museum basement and find one of these (holy grail) snare or plans. I think they are international sized too but nobody can actually get one, that war took it's...

Re: Sonor Snare ID heip

Ok, I heard all the budget line were plastic. But I have no chance to see them or side by side them, Those photos are the first side by side I ever seen. Looks like the SONOR lugs are a bit bigger.

Re: Sonor Snare ID heip

That drum on page one is from the 70's. there are two other models with it I think. Shell packs for these had all plastic other Ludwig type, but way back in 40'50's late 30's maybe, you see them....

Re: Sonor Snare ID heip

Back in the thirties Mr. Link built a snare for Mr. Ludwig, Those metal chromed one's were used on it and the very early Sonor drums. Same time period for Ludwig's release of the imperial lugs they...

Re: Looking for feedback on 9 piece Emerald Green Pearl Gretsch Stop Sign Badge Drum

At $300 a drum you get $2,400, add another 100 to the floor toms, we're at $2,600, add another 200 to each BD we're at $3,000. as a shell pack.

I bet that will sell. Most buyer's will have snare...

Re: Sonor Snare ID heip

I say 453 as well. They came with the Ranger model. Early 70's.
Lugs may or may not be metal and are not interchangeable. (holes)

Re: Looking for feedback on 9 piece Emerald Green Pearl Gretsch Stop Sign Badge Drum

If you had two 12's the option of separation would be there. But then, you're not the factory.
As one kit, is the way I would do it. I would consider a Rock or Metal band ad online. Don't let the...

Re: Mystery potentially eastern european snare drum

Like stated, absolutely cut down. You can see the old lug holes at the bearing edge.

Re: How have your drum sets evolved over the years?

I don't remember the 50's but I do the 60's.

My sister got my kit in 77 and I had my hands on it in 81 or 82,ish, so since then, it's done the same thing as me, aged well.

Re: Sonor thread

It does make sense. Sonor seems to adopt a bling factor now.

But quality, If you put a Sonor Phonic throw off next to a Ludwig Supraphonic throw off, in a photo they would appear similar, and the...

Re: Advice on Selling Bass Drums

Those are in great shape. There's a bunch difference in the Floor toms, Are they 15 and 18 ?

There's no way you should separate the pairs out.

Those slant badge are Rogers best drums.

Re: Please help to identify this Slingerland snare drum

That solved it. The other photo makes it possibly appear to be the first badge, that pic. clears it up for me.
