Re: 68 Slingerland Duet Outfit

The green glass is eye popping. I've never come across a green sparkle kit in a music store. I've seen a few online, but they were either very expensive or the wrap had gone south. It's a great...

[QUOTE=MutantMozart;473647]I have a set of Whitehalls virtually identical to those, and also another stencil of a different badge as well.

I was just about to respond saying I was nearly certain...

I noticed on Steve Maxwell's site an interesting paragraph about market values for vintage drums. He sees it as very strong. With recession looming, it is hard to understand how that market might be...

Re: Rogers Knobby Set Screws

Thanks guys. Considering USPS has a decent small box rate You have to assume some other hassle is causing him to hold on shipping. As Mark says, bummer.

Rogers Knobby Set Screws

Does anyone know a source for the set screws used on Rogers Knobby mounts, the ones applied to bass drum cymbal mounts and/or the floor tom leg mounts? Repros are fine. Most of what I see on eBay is...

Re: Happy 4th of July!

Same back at you Mark. Missed to respond earlier, but a lot of booming here in Boothbay Harbor last night.

That's quite the kit. Did you find it with that wrap or was it a project? Perfect for...

Two Camcos in a row! Looks like red66charger's set is blue and this last one is aqua. Both beautiful.

Re: Circa 1969 Dixie "Rock" 3 piece.

Interesting find. Looks like a set that could have been new on the floor at a Daddy's Junky Music back in the day. Enjoy!

Re: Rogers sightings, mid-60s

One was a Rogers Headliner with the 14x14 FT option (more or less) in blue onyx. I have one in boxes somewhere in the barn and have had a couple similar over the years. Nice sets.

My...

Re: How have your drum sets evolved over the years?

They started at a snare drum, moved to a five-piece MIJ, then back to 4-piece Rogers sets, then all over the spectrum and then back to Rogers 4-piece sets. I guess you might say they evolved and...

Re: How I celebrated my 68th birthday!

Hi Mark,

Those kind of moments are not at all pleasant. It sure is good you had an RN with you and even better that she's a girlfriend. Back in 2000 (age 50 or so) I had a episide where I was...

Sweet kit, and to get the matching...
