Re: Slingerland tom air vent MIA

Think about it... Slingerland did not have separate molds to turn out shells with and without a wrap. Wraps of the time were thinner than they are now. I just removed all the original Red Glass...

Re: I this snare

The Premier hoops are definitely not original to the drum! If the strainer is original, then it appears to be a Ludwig, WFL, Ludwig & Ludwig, etc. Maybe one of our more knowledgeable collectors out...

Re: Ludwig Black Panther

Hey Dan!

Getting the glue off is the tricky part! The picture I supplied almost looks like there's no glue! In reality, it can be a real PITA to remove it! I recall Jack Lawton being involved with...

Re: Ludwig Black Panther

Hi Wayne!

Thanks for reminding me about this. I completely forgot that a Keystone Badge Black Panther kit would most likely NOT have Citrus Mod underneath!

Re: Ludwig Black Panther

Hi Erik!

Very nice! I'm sure the big question, and one that many others might ask, is what are the possibilities that there Citrus Mod underneath the Black Panther wrap!

Re: Rogers Shell Mounted Cymbal L-arm and "Knobby" Mount

Hi V!

The Rogers L-arm is getting tough to find these days! Those I've found on eBay are going for high prices! Steve Maxwell offered a very nice repro L-arm, but I'm not sure if he has any more....

Re: Rogers Collet Thread Size?

I honestly did not know that Al had passed away. Thanks for this info.

And, yes, $59 is pricey! For that price, I'd go with the solid stainless steel repros offered by Steve Ellis. Here's a link...

Re: Rogers Collet Thread Size?

Hi V!

Let us know if Al still has the machined collet noses.

As to your Yamaha issue, your are absolutely correct about the purpose of the tapered shaft on the tom arms! Here's a picture of my...

Re: Rogers Collet Thread Size?

+1 with what Slingerfan said! I'd check with Al Drew first. If he doesn't have them, your next best option is Steve Ellis. Yes, his noses are pricey, but they're well-made and will outlive your...

Re: Rogers Collet Thread Size?

Hi V!

You can also check with Al Drew, who owns Al Drew Music in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The number there is 401-769-3552. Al was offering machined noses for around $25 each, but that was some...

Re: Rogers Collet Thread Size?

amosguy is correct about the nose! You guys got me wondering about this, so I just grabbed one of my spare Swivo mounts and took some pictures.

As you can see, the threads only extend a little...

Re: Anyone Have Any Info?

It appears that shackman had the information for you! When I saw the crescent moon and star, I immediately thought of Paiste. But that's as far as I got!

Hi Curtis!

I moved last year and after setting up my "drum room", I realized that I was getting bright sun hitting some of those drums in the media cabinet. I found a local window tinter who does...

Re: Rogers Collett Mounts

Not to worry, Slingerfan! In all honesty, I just thought that the "nose" term was a good description even before I checked all the catalog names! Your term of "nut" actually made me look this up!

Re: Rogers Collett Mounts

Hi Slingerfan!

I just looked through quite a few Rogers catalogs and each one refers to this part as the "collet nose". I was hoping to find one that showed it as a "nut" but came up empty.

Re: Rogers Collett Mounts

Hi V!
