I know there are alot of smart people on this site so i would like to know about Vintage colors on drums. So here goes.
I read somewhere (I think here) that the red sparkle on 1960's LUDWIG & GRETSCH where the same covering by the same supplier. So is it the same red on the SLINGERLAND too? If anyone has better info. on this subject I would like to know, also where i can find more info on this.
I believe most, if not all wraps provided to the big American companies were made by Delmar...
Make sure you take into consideration the subtle differences between the shapes of the glitter and the periods of glass used.

Yepper...... Mcjnic is right on there !!
Most of the time, Slingerland used glass glitter..... different than the sparkle that other companies used
Check out the Slingerland section in the Drum Guide, there is a great article there from Dr. CJ Wenk on the topic..... lots of examples of the various finishes from Slingerland throughout the years.
