Can anyone identify what make this snare is? It probably dates to the late '60s. It appears to me to be generic. There is a grommet but no badge. There are no markings at all except for "A2" stamped on the inside of the lugs. The shell is three ply and has buckled. The hardware seems to be of a reasonable quality so I was considering cleaning it up and putting it on a better shell. It's 14 by 5" and 8 lug. The spacing on the lug screw mounts is 2". The spacing on the throw screw mounts is 2 3/4" If anyone has thoughts on what brand this might be or what brand would serve as a good quality replacement (without me having to drill 20 holes) that would be a great help. Thanks, Paul

the vertical grain on the interior of the shell would pont me towards a 60's Asian import drum. which one, i'm not sure. there were several brands and plenty of stencil brands. maybe someone recognizes the lugs and can help out.

Mike - Thanks for the input. I'll try this tread on the non USA forum. Also, got the leedy lugs asap. Worked out great!
