O.K. I know everyone hates the "how much is it worth?" postings, but what the heck.

A friend of mine was showing me some snare drums he wants to move. One of them was a Slingerland black and gold Niles badged drum, 5 or 5.5x14 10 lug, single ply, Zoomatic, stick savers, finished in WMP. All looks original. It looks like an Artist. Did they make the Artists with 10 lugs? I would like a ball park figure. Sorry, there are no pics. The drum is at my friends house,30 miles away and he is not of the digital age.

Offer him what you'd like to pay for it. A great drum is a great drum. I'd snag it in a heartbeat.

No. This guy is an old friend. He deserves to get fair value for the drum. I'm not in position to offer fair value. I just want to know what that might be. This is a great sounding snare drum. I would if I could in a heartbeat.
