Replace a classic throw with a P-83

I apologize in advance if this has been covered before but I couldn't find anything when searching.

I have a WFL snare drum with a classic throw off that I'd love to swap out for a P-83 but I don't want to alter the shell to accommodate the different hole spacing.

Does anyone know of a plate or something that is already fabricated to do this?

Problem I'm having with the classic throw is the snare tension, seems on both the WFL snare drums I have the tension is either too tight or just loosey goosey, no fine adjustment like I have with my Supraphonic.

Is it just me or do others find the classic throw to be problematic in this regard?

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Stretched to fit the classic throw, or just stretched to get a better sound/tension?

My older WFL snare with the classic throw also has that 2 screw hole butt plate that requires a 15'' snare wire. Both snares have newish Puresound wires, but I did change

the wires on my newer snare, that has the more common butt, with wires with more strands and barely any change. Also, I've changed the snare side heads over to actual

Ludwig made heads that have the shallower collar for higher tension without the bottom

hoop coming up almost flush to the bearing edge like when using the deeper collar Remo

snare heads...

Ive not had any problems with the classic strainers. They seem to work smoothly for me. I'm not aware of any pre-made adapters. One could be made from wood or plastic without too much work though.
