Regarding an old post- a 14" floor tom vs a 16" Last viewed: 7 hours ago

My Holiday kit came with a 16" floor tom, but I really want a 14", why is that??

Was the 14" more common with a late 60s holiday with a 20" kick drum?

In the 'boom' about 3 years ago; we saw 14" Rogers floor toms sell for $1000+. Rogers simply made less of them. Looking at the catalogues 'Bop' kits weren't big news and the standard config for Rogers was 20/12/16 or 22/13/16. The 14" Rogers floor also has a great reputation for sounding really good. So the price is strong. $00.02
