when did they stop baseball bat and bring back round ( iknow the difference in round size )?thanks guys im perplexed as a pioneer im buying should be round but it is a bat!!!!!

68 seems to be the time frame in which the white felt baseball bat muffler changed over to the round knob mufflers. of course with ludwig, theres always a transition time to consider. also, never say never with ludwig!

thats what i thought but a 69 pioneer i bought has bat and get this nickle plate not chrome hardware very perplexing !!

thats late for a bat and super late for nickel. what points you to 69? date stamp? does it have clear maple interior or resacote white interior? p83 or p85 strainer?
