I've modded many. These are some of the good ones:
From a Paiste 4004 20" This was an OK cymbal but pretty one dimensional. The hammering added some complexity and toned down some of the B8 brightness. It s a nicely balacned crash ride now. $100

From a Paiste 2000 20" ride, 2400g This originally was bright enough to make yer ears bleed and went "ding ding ding" no matter how you played it. Now a nice bright but not ear damaging rock pop kind of sound, and loosened quite a bit to lower the pitch to a nice medium range. Don;t let the solid weight scare you off, has a medium feel. hammered. patina-ed, decoratively lathed and overhammered around the edge $150

A heavy 21" ride 3260g. This brute started as a 70's Avedis coming in over 3600g! It had unbalanced sound and the bell and body fought each other tonaly. Sound is now darkened up a bit, though with this weight stick is still a bright ping, and the bell no longer fights with the body. Great rock/pop kind of ride. $175
