As far as I know...Ludwig never made a black strata wrap.It could possibly be a faded avacado strata or an uncataloged finish(Ludwig wouldn't do that ..right?) or a recover.I also don't think mounting holes for the P-83 are the same for the trick strainer,so extra holes. The price isn't far off since the drum is altered.Those drums sound really good,at least mine did..same shell as the Jazzfest.
