What's that little guy in between the snare and the kick on the black oyster pearl kit and how is it mounted?
this little "boy" is a hand made 6" tom made by a friend who was cabinetmaker.
he made it 25 years ago and i still play it.
It's full wood, made in Asba conga style.
It sounds great and it's a good color in a kit.

I always feel that the empty space beetween snare and FT was a loosed place.
So this configuration is cool, you can play rimshot on the hoop and the tom too, gives you more sounds.
