Another longshot:

I've a 20" bass drum with a hole that I'm looking to fill in. The shell has the tan-painted interior. I'm wondering if anyone has pieces or an old shell they could "part" with. Thanks.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Sure...doesn't need to be Slingy, though. I have an old Japanese 20" bass shell which was so badly damaged when I got it, I just use it for patches to cut and fill other bass drums. PM me your address and the size you need to fill....and I can send you a piece.

You may have to peel off a few layers of ply to get the thickness to match your slingy...but it always works out pretty well as long as your intent is to rewrap.

This wouldn't be a solution if you want a natural exterior finish, however. If you really need to find a slingy shell, I can't help you there.....
