Can anyone tell me a bit about this snare. From what I can tell it is a 30's 40's Leedy Broadway Standard. One of the lugs is broken and there are a few chips here and there, The person selling it is asking $300. Is it worth it?

this is Indeed a Broadway Standard black gold duco, inside the shell look for a stamp dated it will look like 3810 or something like this in black ink. the lugs are prone to breaking, but you can find replacements, also this is one of my all time favorite snare drum hands down, Man I'll never ever sale mine. the asking price is fair.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I will be able to have a look at this tomorrow along with an early 63 -64 ludwig white marine pearl 4 piece which comes with the original snare stand, hi hat stand and 2 cymbal stands. The only real problem with the kit is the bass drum, which has some extra holes drilled into it. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of hardware was put on this thing. The drum is a pre serial number (photo attached). The seller is asking $500 for the kit. Any idea how much the replacement lug would cost for the Leedy?
