Information/value of '67 Blue Oyster 18x16 floor tom

Loading...

I was looking for some information on my Dad's old 1967 Ludwig 18x16 Blue Oyster Pearl floor tom. I can't seem to find record of another one anywhere on the internet. I was hoping one of you guys knew how rare they are and a ballpark on how much they are valued.

There are two cracks in the bearing edge that will need repair. The keystone badge/grommet will also need to be repaired. I am in talks to trade the drum with a guy who got a repair quote of around $160.

The wrap is good and the color is vibrant. I will try to upload some pics, too. But for now, based on Ludwig history, could you help me put a value on the floor tom? I know that it is a rarity but I am not sure how many were made in that size and color.

The buyer(trader) wants to value the drum at $750 - $160 repair bringing the trade value down to $590. I feel like this seems low.

Can anyone help me out?

Anyone know anything? Thanks!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I am considering having the $160 repairs done before parting with the drum. I would appreciate if anyone could give me a ballpark value on the drum once the repairs have been made. Thanks again.
