Identifying Old Congas Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Gallery ImageHello everyone,

I’m trying to identify and date this pair of LP congas (a quinto and a conga).

There are no serial numbers, stickers, or badges on the inside or outside of the drums.

The only visible clue is the chrome side handle with the classic LP diamond logo engraved on it.

The hardware is fully chrome with traditional hoop rims (not Comfort Curve), and the shell has a natural light wood finish.

I suspect they’re from the Classic Series, probably made between 1980 and 1990 based on the hardware style and lack of badge — but I’d love help narrowing it down!

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hi @ovent1947 , no it doesn't.

LP answered to me these were not theirs, Gon Bops the same.

Do the handles or mounting plate that the tuning claw attaches to tell you anything?

Thanks for your help.
