I just have a general question, What makes a Slingerland A "Hollywood Ace" Model?

Is it a 3ply

sound king lugs

rapid throw

and stick savers that make it a hollywood ace?

or is there something that stands out?

thanks again!

Tricky here.............

A Slingerland Student model can easily be retro-fitted into a Hollywood Ace.

Substitute sticksavers for the single flange hoops and add a tone control, and you have an Ace............. I'm always concerned about that when I see an Ace up for auction, and ask the appropriate questions.
