A friend of my wife lost her husband several years ago and I helped her sell the majority of his vintage American drum collection to help out her two kids with some college expenses.
She happened to call us at the house earlier this week, stating that she had one set that she had kept over the years but now wanted to move this one also since she needs some additional funding for a location move.
The remaining kit is a Premier in what I believe to be Green Silk. I might be mistaken since I know next to nothing about non-American drums. I'm hoping some of you might be kind enough to "enlighten me" about this particular kit. I have no idea whether it's actually a vintage Premier kit or something newer. Unfortunately, since I haven't had the time to stop by her home as of yet I've got no idea of the respective sizes of the drums.
At this time my goal is to verify the model of the kit, which I believe to be a Genista, find out approximately what year this particlar kit would have been manufactured, and also determine what it's value might be in today's market. I'm also trying to determine whether there would actually be any serious interest in this particular kit and by whom.
I'd appreciate ANY AND ALL information that you might be able to provide in regard to the quality of the kit (i.e., high end, low end, intermediate, etc.) as well as to its sound. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd like to find out what genre of music this kit would be most suitable for over-all. If you could also compare it in any way, shape or form to one of the American drum manufacturer's kits I'd love to hear that also.
I apologize for the poor quality of the pics. Unfortunately, they're the only ones that I've got at this time.
THANKS in advance for your time as well as your help!Clapping Happy2
