Hey got a question for the Gretsch experts. I just picked up a 12 inch tom that I'm going to work on and it appears that the ply configuration is different than I was expecting, I was under the impression that it is always: maple-gum-maple-gum-gum-maple. Where the tom I picked up is maple-maple-gum-maple-gum-maple. Just curious what you guys think. I can post pictures after the camera charges if you want them.
