Does anyone know the years Gretsch used the nylon ball tom mounts like the one pictured below? Thanks.

Yes, that's right. I was wondering if anyone had a precise year range.

They first came out with that mount in 1972 to 1989.The first mounts had the black plastic ball in 1980 they change to a white ball like you posted..If you need any parts for these mounts i have them most are new old stock...Mikey
