this is not not a b&b lug drum that was converted... it is a TRUE REAL FACTORY BEAVERTAIL DRUM, one of the earliest ones made.

the scratches in the shell are very light, they don't go deep at all, they are like what youd make with your fingernails so a very light sand will remove them, THEY ARE MORE IN THE VERY THIN LAYER OF RESIDUAL GLUE THAN IN THE SHELL ITSELF

The knobby cap set screws were replaced with exact fitting (allen screws) I like them because they do not chew up the inside of your padded case the way the original ones do, these are recessed, they are shiny chrome and look great. Somewhere I have the original ones and if I find them I will include them. The replacements I put in look very sharp and are the EXACT SAME THREAD as the originals, so no problem there... but I will look for my originals for you.
Also, top rim is original Rogers, bottom rim is not, I have that here to somewhere and if I find it, it will be included also.
The knobby caps are all very nice and say ROGERS PAT PEND
Drum is perfectly round and in tune I have had many Rogers 14x14's this is the best sounding one and that is why I kept it this long. I was going to make a custom 18" bass drum and do it with this drum and a 12" in new Blue Onyx... but I have other plans now so you can grab this rare drum for your kit.
the top tension rods are included , they are not in the photo so I could photo the inside of the drum.
If you are not familiar... it was VERY customary for Rogers to take a paper label from another model drum and cross out the model name and write or type in the new one. This label is 100% original and factory! Ask the Rogers pros and they will tell you.
