for sale today is mid 60's Ludwig 5x14 10 lug ludalloy supraphonic. i'd consider this a good looking solid, player drum. there were some plated in the mid 60's that didn't blister and pit. this one appears to be from that period. faint date stamp of aug...maybe 05..and then the year...maybe 65. it has a white felt baseball bat muffler, so 65-mid 68 most likely. shell has a few scratches here and there. the worst is right up front on the badge panel. the chrome looks nice overall. has correct p83 that works great. Ludwig script logo snare butt. has 18 strand snare wires with new Ludwig cord. all tension rods are original and matching. the top hoop looks nice. the bottom hoop has some corrosion that has been cleaned and looks ok. both hoops are chrome over steel.

I completely disassembled and detailed the drum this weekend. installed a new remo coated ambassador batter head and also a new remo hazy diplomat snare side head. everything works great on this drum and it sounds wonderful. its tuned and ready to play.

the badge was already removed when I got the drum. I do not have a badge to install on it. if someone wants to buy the drum, but wants it badged, i'll gladly install one for the cost of a badge itself..
